    • I-80 is closed from Cheyenne to Laramie
    • 287 Closed at Teds Place
    • EB I-70 is closed in Idaho Springs due to multiple accidents.
    • The Oval on the CSU campus is closed to traffic and parking because of downed and falling tree branches.

    7News is reporting that over 40,000 people are without power right now. To report an outage to Xcel Energy, call 1-800-895-1999.

    Transfort bus routes are all open, but  expect 10-15 minute delays.

    10:30 Outage Update

    The snow continues to fall and damaged trees have caused additional outages near Kersey and other areas in the Poudre Valley REA service territory. Some power has been restored to consumers near Bellvue and other places however progress is slow due to additional accumulating snow. At this time approximately 7,000 members are without power.

    Power Outage in Loveland Area
    Loveland, Colorado: Loveland Water and Power crews have been working throughout the night on a power outage affecting most of the Loveland area. This is a widespread City power outage. The weather has had a major impact on the electric system and has caused some difficult problems for our customers.
    We have several crews on site and staff is canvasing areas of concern. At this time, it is very difficult for us to anticipate what time power will be restored to each area.
    “We are very sorry for this inconvenience to our customers and are doing our best to restore power as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience at this time.” says Steve Adams, Water and Power Director.
    The Red Cross is establishing a temporary shelter for those that need immediate assistance. The location will be at Thomson Valley High School and will be opening at 11:30 a.m. No pets at the shelter, please.
